Hey guys!
How's everyones summer going so far?
New York went through a crazy heatwave recently and I was lucky enough to have these amazing high waisted shorts to keep me cool! They're from a boutique called Ooh La La and they are located around Long Island with five locations in Long Beach, Babylon, Sayville, Huntington and Ocean Beach, Fire Island. Ooh la la just recently launched their new and improved website in June 2013 with hopes to expand the brand to online shoppers with their chic new website design.  Women of all ages walk into the closet of their dreams when they step into Ooh la la.  They offer price-conscious, fashion-forward clothing, accessories and shoes and follows the concept of opposites attracting and defining each other; vintage to modern, casual to classy, sexy to chic, and edgy to classic.  The only fashion rule at Ooh la la is that there are no rules, be unique and be yourself!

Baby, let's go back in time

So a couple of months ago I hinted out on my Instagram that I was working on a 1920's themed photo shoot. It took a while to finally get it on here but here it is! I hope you all enjoyed!

The idea came to me a while ago when I thrifted this flapper dress (for $4!). It was in great condition but I had no idea when or where I would wear it. I asked my boyfriend Daniel L. if he could photograph me in a 20's themed shoot and he then said (to my surprise) he wanted to join and dress up also! He thrifted his whole outfit and I made his bow tie. His grand mustache (yes, it's real!) just topped off the whole look don't you agree? I know I'm not one to share much of my personal love life on here but I thought these pictures would be the perfect way to introduce you, my lovely followers, to him. He did a great job at photographing and directing the shoot but I'm not going to lie, during the shoot we were both so awkward in front of a camera that the only natural thing to come out of us was to dance!

La Boheme

Here in NYC we are going through a crazy heat wave so it's been a struggle to look cute and still remain cool.  So I put together a laid back and easy look for you guys featuring one of my favorite scarves from Collection 18! I love how long and light weight this scarf is because it makes it easy to tie around your head and the colors and pattern look great also!

Collection 18 scarf
Necklace borrowed from a friend
Restricted shoes (from a year ago)
Wild Soul Sunglasses

Cheers!

summer time

So it's official! Summer has finally arrived.
Walking around the streets of NYC during this time is one my favorite things to do, especially around the east village. The other day I walked by Julian Casablancas (swoon!) and bike rode behind Sean Lennon. You'll never know who you might run into!

Have any awesome summer plans?
I'd love to know!
 Leave it in a comment!

A taste of Spring

Blouse by Etienne Aigner
Peony Suede Shorts by Etienne Aigner
Trench Coat by Allegri
Gardenias Earrings by Carrera y Carrera
Necklace by 1884 Collection
Oxford Shoes by Sperry Top-sider

Okay, so I think we can all agree that this is a perfect Spring outfit!
A couple of days ago I was invited to check out some of Etienne Aigner's Spring 2013 collection and put a look together. This is my D-R-E-A-M Spring outfit, the pastel colors and simplistic designs make every piece easy to style and feel comfortable in. With the weather getting a little warmer I can see myself trying to recreate this look in many ways.
What do you guys think?

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
